The Ventnor City Cultural Center will present the South Jersey Players’ premier Youth Playwrighting Workshop for 11–15-year-old writers and actors. Four workshop sessions will be held at the VCAC in the Ventnor Library Complex at 6500 Atlantic Avenue from 9 am–12 pm, on the following Saturdays: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16 and 11/23. Enrollees are expected to register for all four sessions. Workshop tuition is $180.00.
The program will culminate in a FESTIVAL of NEW WORKS at Ventnor Coffee – 108 N Dorset Ave. – on Sat. December 7th and Sun. December 8th at 2 pm. The festival will include student readings of their new plays as well as plays by mentor playwrights, Sonda Mandel, who will help facilitate the workshop, and Edward Shakespeare.
The ticketed event includes coffee and dessert and will require advanced reservations.
