The Ventnor Cultural Arts Center will host South Jersey Players’ second Theater Arts Camp for 6–11-year-olds on the following Saturday mornings from 9 am–12pm at the Ventnor Cultural Arts Center space in the Ventnor Library Complex.
Campers may attend any or all of the sessions: July 20th, July 27th, August 10th & August 17th. The fee is $40.00 per session.
South Jersey Players and its cultural partner, Players and Playwrights by the Jersey Shore are merging for a weekend of playreadings and plays with a buffet dinner. Stockton University’s Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) is organizing the occasion.

Twenty-four years ago, Marlene May and Ellen Mandel collaborated on an adaptation with music, of the popular fairy tale, RUMPELSTILTSKIN.
South Jersey Players will present a rollicking 60-minute comic version of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night with music. The evening includes a Sasscer’s ‘sweet & savory’ pre-show hour – $20 with soft drink $25 with ‘ale’. South Jersey Players is returning to AROMA Restaurant for their second season of dinner theater. A lavish plated dinner including Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmigano or Rigatoni ala Vodka, and dessert with coffee or tea will be served.
The five featured plays, are ten-minute comedies, written by local and emerging playwrights, Edward Shakespeare, Tom Chin, Jim O’Hara, and Peter Dukatis.
South Jersey Players, Inc. will hold their annual fundraiser - Dessert Theater at Ventnor Coffee ’22, on Saturday, October 15th at 3 pm and on Sunday, October 16th at both 3 pm and 7 pm. Ventnor Coffee is located at 108 N Dorset Ave.
Visionary, Marlene May, President of South Jersey Players, Inc. – a non-profit community theater, has been yearning to present dinner theater in Ventnor, NJ for some time.
SJP, Inc. was founded in 2017 and incorporated in 2020 with the mission of promoting local playwrights featuring local actors in short plays. Most recently, SJP presented Plays in the Park at the new Ventnor Memory Park and Park Plays at the Margate City Public Library’s ‘Under the Tent’ series.
Margate City Public Library presents South Jersey Players, Inc.’s PARK PLAYS. The five short one-acts, and five one-minute teasers, will be performed under the tent, in the Russell C. Roney Library Park – 8100 Atlantic Avenue, Margate, NJ 08402.
South Jersey Players, Inc will be producing PLAYS IN THE PARK at the new Ventnor Memory Park on Saturday, June 26th at 3:00 pm & 5:30 pm and Sunday, June 27th at 3:00 pm. The outdoor event includes seven short plays by local playwrights, Jeff Dunne, Phyliss Merion Shanken, Jim O’Hara, Sondra Mandel, Edward Shakespeare and Tom Chin. Directors include:Marlene May, Tish Becker, Edward Shakespeare and John Alvarez. PLAYS IN THE PARK will be the first event in Ventnor Memory Park located at 5000 Ventnor Avenue at Nashville. South Jersey Players, Inc will be producing PICNIC&PLAYS in the PARK at the Ventnor Memory Park for a second season. The event will take place on Friday, June 24th, Saturday, June 25th and Sunday, June 26th at 5:00 pm. (Rain dates: 6/25&6/26 at 3 pm) The outdoor special event includes a sumptuous picnic-in-a basket with Atlantic City Subs providing a variety of sub-quarters. Also included are chips, dilly bites, clementines, Sasscer’s homemade cookies and a beverage.
